Editor in chief

Adnan Čirgić

Adnan Čirgić was born in 1980 in Podgorica. He finished elementary and high school in Podgorica. He enrolled at the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić in 1998/99 school year, where he graduated and completed post-graduate studies (Language Science). At the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Josip Juraj Strossmayer (doctoral studies- linguistics), he defended his doctoral thesis.

He is involved in research of dialectology and history of Montenegrin language, as well as Montenegrin traditional culture.

He is a member of Montenegrin PEN centre, Council for Standardisation of Montenegrin language (from its founding until the closing), Montenegrin Matrix and the National Council for Education. He was a director of the Institute for Montenegrin Language and Literature, from its foundation until its transformation into the Faculty for Montenegrin Language and Literature, where he is the dean.

He is the author of around 200 scientific and expert papers, 18 books, textbooks and monographs (independently and as a co-author), editor and organiser of around 100 books, monographs and books of proceedings.
